King David

The Giant-Slayer King

A shepherd boy who once felled a giant, now hunting the heaviest targets on the field — a stunning marksman who breaks the strongest foe.

History

David (reigned roughly 1010–970 BC) was the second king of the united kingdom of Israel. As a youth tending sheep, he won his legend by striking down the giant Goliath with nothing but a sling and a stone. Succeeding Saul, he united the scattered tribes of Israel, captured Jerusalem, and made it his capital — laying the foundation of the House of David. He is remembered as a harpist and poet as well as a warrior; many of the Psalms are ascribed to his name. In Jewish tradition he stands as the archetype of the ideal king, and Jerusalem itself came to be called the City of David. His reign bound a fractured people into one realm and left a throne that legend would never let fade.

On the Battlefield

David leads the Archers of the Middle East & Africa, a ranged striker who blends raw damage with control. As in his youth, he singles out the toughest enemy on the line — the higher the target's health, the harder his blows land, wearing down what others cannot. His signature strike, Holy Strike, hammers a single distant foe and may leave them reeling and stunned, just as one sling-stone once dropped a giant. Built toward attack and swift cooldowns, he turns the field's mightiest champion into his chosen prey.
