Boudica

The Flame of Rebellion

The Celtic queen who put Rome to the torch — a frontline blade whose every strike peels her enemy's armor away.

History

Boudica (c. AD 30–61) was queen of the Iceni, a tribe of ancient Britain. Her husband, Prasutagus, had bound his people to Rome as a client king, but at his death the empire seized the tribe's wealth, had Boudica flogged, and violated her daughters. In AD 60–61 she raised the Iceni and the Trinovantes in open revolt, leading a vast host against the occupiers. Her warriors burned three Roman cities to ash — Camulodunum, Londinium, and Verulamium — and mauled the Ninth Legion as it marched to relieve them. Though the rising was finally crushed, the memory of the warrior-queen who defied an empire endured for centuries. To this day she stands among the most famous women in the history of Britain's resistance to Rome, a figure of fury, grief, and unbroken pride drawn from the Europe of legend.

On the Battlefield

Boudica leads the Infantry, a frontline damage dealer who is as much a disruptor as a killer. She fights with relentless tempo: her active onslaught, Enemy Breaker, falls on the enemy line in a flurry of close-quarters strikes, while her warrior's spirit, Celtic Spirit, leaves every blow gnawing deeper than the last. Each hit she lands stacks fresh cracks in a foe's armor — the longer she presses, the more brittle they become, and the more brittle they become, the more her blade hurts. She is built to wade into the press, hold the front, and grind a guarded enemy down until their defenses simply fall apart.
